Warringtonfire has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Heathy & Environmental (SHE) Manager to join our growing team in Ghent. Core Responsibilities
As SHE Manager, you contribute to Element’s central mission: “Making Tomorrow Safer Than Today.”
Within the Built Environment division, you will be based in our Ghent location and support local management and employees in Ghent, Tisselt, and Antwerp with the implementation of Element’s procedures and processes related to workplace prevention and protection.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Coaching employees to work safely and efficiently
- Acting as the first point of contact for safety-related questions in Ghent and Tisselt
- Supporting the Level III Prevention Advisor in Antwerp
- Proactively identifying risks and updating risk analyses
- Drafting and implementing procedures
- Providing advice on work equipment and preventive measures
- Informing local management about current occupational health and safety legislation
- Participating in the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work
- Actively engaging in safety campaigns, training sessions, and internal audits
- Investigating workplace accidents and near misses, and reporting findings
- Simulating emergency situations through drills
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Element’s SHE program and the EMEAA / Built Environment prevention and annual action plan
Skills / Qualifications
- Certified Prevention Advisor Level 2 with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in an operational environment, preferably in a technical or production context
- Solid knowledge of Belgian occupational health and safety legislation
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- Empathetic, proactive, and solution-oriented team player
- Pragmatic mindset with the ability to develop and implement action plans
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
- Holder of a valid driver’s license (Category B) and own transport
