Genetec / Video Surveillance Systems Engineer (Networking Focus)

3 Days per week remote, 2 days per week on site

We’re looking for a hands-on Video Surveillance & Genetec Engineer with strong experience in Genetec Security Center, Milestone, Axis, and IP-based camera systems. This role is ideal for someone with a network engineering mindset who is comfortable working in security-guard–driven environments and supporting operational teams on-site.

What You’ll Do

• Install, configure, and maintain Genetec, Milestone XProtect, and Axis IP cameras
• Add and commission new IP cameras and devices into surveillance networks
• Perform server updates, patching, firmware upgrades, and system hardening
• Configure and troubleshoot switches, VLANs, PoE, routing, and general IP networking
• Support security guards, operators, and control room teams with daily system use
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across software, hardware, and network layers
• Prepare documentation and assist with on-site testing and commissioning

What You Bring

• Experience with video surveillance platforms (Genetec, Milestone, Axis)
• Strong understanding of IP networking, Windows Server, and system infrastructure
• Ability to install, update, and maintain servers, cameras, and security devices
• Customer-focused mindset, especially working with security operations teams
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, hands-on approach

Nice to Have

• Certifications: Genetec, Axis, Milestone, Cisco
• Experience supporting large security environments or control rooms
