Technical Sales Engineer

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Sales Engineer, based in Hong Kong SAR. The Technical Sales Engineer will collaborate with customers to understand their technical and business needs, deliver tailored solutions, and provide technical support throughout the sales process. Responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, preparing sales proposals, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The role requires the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
Answer detailed technical questions from potential customers.
Customize solutions to fit client requirements.
Work closely with account managers to strategize on deals.
Provide technical input for proposals, bids, and tenders.
Highlight competitive advantages of the product.
Assist with onboarding and training after a sale.
Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with engineering teams.
Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
Gather insights from clients about product performance.
Communicate customer needs back to product development teams.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Technical Sales and Sales Engineering
Experience with providing Technical Support and addressing client needs
Proven communication and interpersonal abilities to manage client relationships
Sales expertise, including developing proposals and achieving targets
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in the data center or IT industry is a plus
Proficiency in English and Cantonese; fluency in Mandarin is advantageous
