EBRAINS is a European digital research infrastructure for brain research developed by the EC-funded Human Brain Project. Its ambition is to be an enabler of brain science in Europe, offering state-of-the art resources of data, models, tools and computing platforms to the scientific community.
EBRAINS is currently entering a new phase, further developing its service offering, gaining maturity and robustness, improving its user experience, and broadening the community of neuroscientists and developers who benefit from its resources and services. In 2021, EBRAINS was added to the ESFRI Roadmap for Research Infrastructures and now also aims to expand collaborations with other EU research infrastructures.
The EBRAINS AISBL is a non-profit association and coordinates the operation of the EBRAINS European research infrastructure on behalf of its members.
This fixed term and hybrid position reports to Head of Project Team and Institutional Relations and is based in the EBRAINS office in Brussels, Belgium.

Responsibilities
• Planning and monitoring a consortium-wide engagement effort, and reporting the activities to the Project leadership and funders of all the EC projects in the portfolio of EBRAINS and in line with the project’s timelines (this applies to all the activities: of all the EC projects in the portfolio of EBRAINS and in line with the project’s timelines)
• Manage the activities, ensuring the implementation of the Work Plan, anticipating divergences and
making recommendations to leadership for improvements
•Review and proof-read the deliverables and reports, ensuring that they follow specs and guidelines of all the projects
• Take the lead, plan, and manage coordination activities. Ensure that the various participants are informed and feel that their voices are heard in the planning of management and coordination activities.
• Organize and chair meetings with the teams, partners, and with other related stakeholders in the projects. Particularly with the European Commission Project Officers
• Participate in communication and dissemination activities. Represent EBRAINS in selected
meetings, committees, and working groups
• Lead on, manage, and design the processes, and tools ecosystem supporting the Quality Control (QC),
monitoring, and performance management framework in order to provide actionable insights for projects steering, increase information sharing across the projects, and decrease the administrative effort required for reporting and monitoring
• Manage directly the coordination, monitoring and reporting for Milestones, KPIs, Risks, Publications,
Outputs, and other aspects as required
• Coordinate with finance to set project budgets, monitor spending, and flag variances early.
• Ensure timely delivery of project-related financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Support creation of standardized templates for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting together with finance team
• Contribute to the improvement and implementation of the project's coordination workflows and
procedures, best practices, and IT tools
• Regularly review and analyze projects monitoring and reporting data to detect trends and mitigate risks,
escalating new issues and risks to leadership
• Prepare reports for governing bodies and other stakeholders on the performance of the project
• Manage the preparation and continuous improvement of visualization tools and dashboards
