Apply modern architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven design, API-first integration, cloud-native architectures, and zero-trust principles.

Driving Digital Transformation

Translate business strategy into technology strategy, multi-year roadmaps, and target architectures that enable digital transformation.

Guide transition toward a digital-first operating model, ensuring technology investments align with business objectives.

Support transformation programmes by ensuring solutions and domains evolve consistently toward the target enterprise architecture.

Technical Leadership & Governance

Lead and participate in architecture reviews, design boards, and governance forums, ensuring alignment across programmes and initiatives.

Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, reference models, and ensure their adoption across teams.

Provide technical leadership during key programmes, guiding teams toward coherent and compliant architectural decisions.

Ensure solution designs adhere to security, compliance, performance, and maintainability standards.

Document architecture decisions, blueprints, integration specifications, and reusable patterns to support transparency and reuse.

Coach and mentor engineering teams, promoting architectural best practices and technical excellence.

Accelerating Innovation

Evaluate emerging technologies to assess strategic relevance, enterprise applicability, and readiness.

Inspire teams by introducing innovative approaches, patterns, and tools that improve agility, scalability, and time-to-market.

Foster a culture of experimentation and learning within the technology organisation.

Identify opportunities where innovative technology can create new capabilities, efficiencies, or client value.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering, and security teams to ensure design cohesion and strategic alignment.

Act as the architectural lead within your domain, translating enterprise strategy into practical guidance for delivery teams.

Facilitate alignment workshops, design sessions, and leadership discussions to drive shared understanding across teams.

Communicate architectural strategy, decisions, and roadmaps in a clear and actionable way to both technical and non-technical audiences.

About you

Experience: 5+ years in IT architecture or related roles.

Degree: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Skills: Architecture Frameworks & Tools, application architecture, modelling, BPMN, enterprise systems, microservices, integration frameworks, security frameworks.

Languages: Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
