The new 373-room Dorsett Hotel flagship is inspired by the location's dreamy Marina lifestyle and the ocean. Catering to both leisure and longer-staying business travellers alike, our suites offer pantry and light cooking facilities, and interconnecting options. Dorsett Kai Tak features two Presidential Suites, each with its own private terrace and the Presidential Harbour View Pool Suite housing its own 10m lap pool. Other hotel facilities include an outdoor rooftop bar and pool, 100 square metre fitness centre, and double-height ceiling grand ballroom.
For the guest arriving from the cruise terminal, the Hotel will offer a smooth transition to an atmosphere that echoes the magical time at sea; for the staycation patron, the Hotel will give the opportunity to dream of a Marina lifestyle without leaving Hong Kong.
Job Descriptions
Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are communicated to the kitchen.
Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally, adhering to the restaurant's service standards.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Provide recommendations for food and beverage pairings to enhance the dining experience.
Upsell menu items, such as appetizers, desserts, or premium beverages, when appropriate.
Set up and clear tables efficiently, ensuring a clean and inviting dining area.
Manage multiple tables and prioritize tasks during busy periods to ensure timely service.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth order delivery.
Work closely with other waitstaff, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to provide a seamless dining experience.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of food and beverages.
Follow hotel and restaurant policies, including dress code and grooming standards.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or hotel setting is an advantage but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
