We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager - Team Leader to oversee the sourcing and procurement of raw materials critical to our healthcare production processes. Based in Brussels, you will lead a team of procurement specialists and collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, and Global Procurement teams. This role is essential to ensuring cost-effective, timely, and quality-assured material availability while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards in the healthcare industry.
Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals handling raw material sourcing across EMEA.
Develop and execute procurement strategies for key raw materials to support business and manufacturing needs.
Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
Monitor global raw material markets and identify risks or opportunities related to supply security and cost optimization.
Ensure supplier qualification and compliance with GMP, GDP, and other regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and participate in supplier audits and performance reviews.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Quality, R&D, Regulatory, Finance) to align procurement goals with company objectives.
Support sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives in the procurement function.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements in procurement operations.
Prepare and present procurement performance reports and KPIs to senior management.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or Engineering.
Minimum 7+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role.
Proven track record in raw material sourcing within the pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or healthcare sectors.
Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance in healthcare manufacturing.
Proficiency with procurement tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a plus.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage complexity, multi-site operations, and global supplier relationships.
