About the role
We're looking for a strategic public affairs professional with 3 to 5 years of experience to help our growing client base navigate EU environmental and chemicals policy, particularly in the areas of REACH and CLP. You'll shape advocacy strategies, gather intelligence on complex issues, run large-scale substance-specific campaigns, and turn complex topics into clear messages that deliver results.

Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on EU political and regulatory developments, turning intelligence into clear, actionable insights.
- Design and deliver advocacy and communication campaigns, including outreach to the European Parliament, Council, Commission, and MSCAs.
- Translate technical issues into concise briefings, position papers, presentations, and digital content.
- Manage day-to-day client work, coordinate internal teams, and maintain senior-level relationships.
- Monitor legislative processes and stakeholder debates, identifying risks and opportunities early.
- Use digital tools and emerging AI applications to enhance monitoring and analysis.
- Support new business pitches and share knowledge across the team.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in EU public affairs, in a consultancy, industry association, company, or institution.
- Outstanding written English, able to explain complex topics to expert and non-expert audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage large scale advocacy campaigns and coalitions.
- Working knowledge of REACH and CLP.
- Strong understanding of the Ordinary Legislative Procedure and secondary legislation processes (RPS, delegated acts, implementing acts).
- Strategic thinker with sharp political judgement and strong client-facing skills.
- High computer literacy (Office suite) and curiosity about AI-powered tools.
- Team player; another EU language is a plus.
