IT Project Manager

Location: Bruxelles

Languages: Dutch and English

Responsibilities:

• As an ICT Project Manager, you ensure that assigned projects are delivered on schedule and in accordance with quality expectations.
• You monitor project progress, collaborate closely with both internal and external team members, and maintain effective project organization.
• Regular progress updates are provided to the Program Manager, CIO, and the steering committee.
• In your role, you act as a motivating, advisory, and facilitative force within the project environment.
• You work hand-in-hand with the team, management, and the wider organization.
• As a natural people leader, you inspire, coordinate, and drive your project team toward shared success.

Profile:

• You have prior professional experience within a university or academic environment.
• You hold a Master's degree—ideally in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline—or possess equivalent practical experience.
• You bring a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management.
• You are proficient in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• You demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Dutch and English.
• Data center facilities and infrastructure
• Network and/or system administration
• Virtualization technologies
• Data center migration projects
• Installation and setup of physical data centers
• Network and system implementation
• Application migrations across data centers
• Transition and handover of responsibilities to operational teams
• Familiarity with supercomputer installation is also required.
• Knowledge of public procurement processes in a university or public sector context is a valuable asset.
• You are reliable, customer-oriented, and focused on delivering results.
• You are highly organized, capable of setting priorities, and skilled at coordinating a variety of stakeholders.
• You possess strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• You have a coaching mindset and are adept at motivating and guiding project teams.
