Web developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Web Developer to join our IT team in Brussels. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and evolution of our information systems and web applications, with a heavy focus on CMS-based solutions (notably Drupal ).

Working under the supervision of the Head of IT, you will play a key role in ensuring our platforms are secure, accessible, and high-performing.

Key Responsibilities

• Development: Build and maintain web applications using PHP and JavaScript following technical best practices.
• CMS Management: Customize and maintain content management systems, specifically Drupal-based solutions.
• Integration: Design and integrate RESTful services and APIs.
• Optimization: Ensure cross-browser compatibility and strict adherence to web standards and accessibility ( WCAG ).
• Collaboration: Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, producing technical documentation and providing support to business users.
• Data & Systems: Design process/data models and manage relational databases (MySQL, Oracle).

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in web development.
• Technical Stack: * Expertise in PHP and Drupal (essential).
• Strong command of JavaScript , HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
• Standards: Deep knowledge of web standards, responsive design, and web accessibility.
• Methodology: Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments is a strong plus.
• Languages: Professional fluency in English (working language).
