Now, the fabled Grand Hotel Astoria will re-emerge as Corinthia Brussels later in 2024, a beacon of elegance and luxury in the heart of the Belgian capital.

Following a meticulous restoration, Corinthia Brussels will marry the classical elegance of its storied past with sophisticated modern facilities including 126 rooms and suites, a gastronomic restaurant and brasserie, and 1000 square metres of wellness. Catering to discerning locals and luxury travellers, Corinthia Brussels will harmonise heritage with an avant-garde attitude.

As the Head Chef at the prestigious Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels, you will be at the forefront of creating extraordinary culinary experiences that define luxury hospitality. You will embody the essence of culinary mastery, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity while maintaining the impeccable standards that set Corinthia Brussels apart as a beacon of luxury in the hospitality industry.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and innovations in the hospitality industry
  • Conduct regular and thorough briefings with the brigade before service
  • Ensure maximum effort is made to deliver efficient service while maintaining high standards
  • Monitor and control food waste
  • Encourage and support brigade members by motivating them and leading by example
  • Maintain smooth and open communication within the department
  • Embody the values and philosophy of Corinthia
PROFILE

Experience

  • Solid culinary background with experience in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurants

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent team supervision and ability to provide clear, precise instructions
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, food safety management, and coaching
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Creativity and innovation in culinary proposals

Job Requirements

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Strong communication skills in English, French, and/or Dutch
