Department: Intelligence & Innovation

For our client, the Intelligence & Innovation Department is seeking an experienced Test Analyst to help build reliable digital solutions that support modern, data-driven policing.

You will work closely with internal development teams on mission-critical applications used daily by police officers and analysts. Your work will directly contribute to public safety, operational efficiency, and innovation.

Your responsibilities

As a Test Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and usability of software applications by:

• Translating business and functional requirements into structured test cases and scenarios
• Designing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated tests
• Detecting, documenting, and following up on defects to ensure high-quality releases
• Collaborating closely with developers, functional analysts, and end-users
• Supporting application rollouts, including preparing documentation and delivering user training
• Continuously improving testing strategies, tools, and processes

Experience & qualifications

Must-have

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Test Analyst / Test Specialist
• Experience testing business-critical applications
• Solid knowledge of formal testing methodologies and techniques
• Hands-on experience with test automation
• Practical experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience delivering training or knowledge transfer to end-users
• Native or near-native Dutch (CEFR C2)

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Cypress, Ranorex, and Xray
• Ability to work with SQL, JSON, and basic understanding of C#
• Experience working in agile / DevOps environments
