Finance Transformation Advocate

How can the finance function evolve to become a true strategic partner to the business? Role Overview

As a Finance Transformation Consultant, you will support leading organizations in reshaping their finance functions to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving business environment. You will drive end-to-end transformation initiatives, optimizing finance strategy, operating models, and core processes such as Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), and FP&A.

At the manager level and beyond, you will lead project delivery, guide multidisciplinary teams, and foster digitization through technologies like SAP S/4HANA and emerging AI solutions. You will design and implement future-ready finance operating models, enhance controlling and performance steering, and develop advanced reporting and forecasting frameworks.

You'll also play a key role in client relationship management—partnering with CFOs and senior stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver impactful solutions. As part of Capgemini Invent, you'll contribute to business development, thought leadership, and the growth of our Finance Transformation community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end transformation initiatives focused on optimizing finance operations, including O2C, P2P, R2R, and FP&A processes

Example: Identify, prioritize and optimize pain points in financial processes through workshops, business cases and process mapping.

• Develop and implement future-ready finance operating models, covering accounting, controlling, and performance management

Example: Design and implement a global target operating model that centralizes accounting activities in shared services centers.

• Promote the adoption of digital tools such as SAP S/4HANA and assess the impact of emerging technologies (e.g., AI) on finance functions

Example: Evaluate AI use cases in finance (e.g., predictive forecasting, smart reconciliations) and define implementation roadmaps.

• Supervise delivery teams, review outputs, provide coaching, and ensure high-quality deliverables

Example: Oversee and coach junior team members in their day-to-day tasks, ensuring outputs meet both client expectations and firm standards.

• Build trusted relationships with CFOs and finance leaders, identifying opportunities and shaping transformation agendas

Example: Collaborate closely with Finance Leadership to co-develop finance transformation roadmaps aligned with strategic business objectives.

The profile(s) we are looking for:

• Minimum of
  2 years
  of relevant experience in management consulting or in finance transformation within the business
• Proven experience in implementing
  Enterprise Performance Management
  solutions
• A strong background in
  improvement
  and
  automation of finance operations
  (through RPA, AI, ML)
• Successful track record in
  outsourcing
  & shared services
• Deep understanding of
  core Finance processes
  (Order to Cash, Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Financial Planning & Analysis)
• Proficiency in
  Enterprise Resource Planning
  (ERP), ideally with experience in core SAP S/4HANA modules (FI, CO, MM, SD etc.)
• A
  master's degree
  in business engineering, applied economics, finance or similar
• Fluency in English and either French or Dutch is required.

Preferred Attributes

• You are passionate about Finance Transformation and can rely on strong knowledge and experience in this field or one of the sub-fields: Finance Strategy, Finance Operating Model, Digital Finance, Finance Operations, or Finance Steering Models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions.
• As from Manager, you have experience in managing and coaching others
