Salary: €2600 - €2800 bruto

Languages: English, French and Flemish is an added bonus


About the Role

I am looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Head Waiter to join a vibrant team in for a fantastic Restaurant!

This role is perfect for someone who loves great food, busy service, and leading a tight-knit front-of-house crew.

You’ll take pride in delivering top-tier guest experiences, leading by example, and helping the team master every aspect of service.


Your Key Responsibilities

Menu & Service Mastery

  • Become an expert on all food, drink, and wine offerings—including pairings, ingredients, preparation methods, and any dietary/allergy options
  • Stay updated on daily specials, menu changes, and guest promotions
  • Coordinate with the bar and kitchen on pacing and order delivery, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service


Floor & Guest Management

  • Know the restaurant’s layout, table numbers, and special areas for seamless service flow
  • Greet guests, build rapport, and guide them through the menu, always aiming to enhance their experience
  • Handle all types of payments and ensure accurate processing


Core Values & Standards

  • Model and uphold the restaurant’s core values in every interaction
  • Follow health, food safety, and emergency procedures at all times
  • Lead pre-shift setup and manage closing routines with attention to detail


Leadership & Team Coordination

  • Delegate tasks for maximum efficiency; motivate and mentor staff throughout each shift
  • Prioritize essential service tasks such as taking orders, processing payments, and resolving issues
  • Deliver clear, effective communication to both staff and guests, both verbally and with any service tools
  • Address guest requests and complaints calmly and promptly, turning challenges into positive experiences


Upselling & Revenue Growth

  • Train and inspire the team to upsell, from recommending drinks and side dishes to closing with dessert and coffee
  • Focus on empty glasses, timely refills, and consistently suggesting menu add-ons


Active Tasks (During Busy Service)

  • Speed up table turns without sacrificing quality
  • Manage meal timing and coordinate across kitchen and bar
  • Ensure requests and special dietary needs are handled efficiently and clearly
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence on the floor, ready to jump in where needed
  • Monitor team energy, helping everyone stay motivated and coordinated


What You Bring

  • Proven experience in a high-energy, guest-focused restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of food and drink menus, with passion for sharing that with team and guests
  • Natural leadership skills: organized, approachable, and a confidence-builder for colleagues
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and handling challenging situations with grace
  • Ability to manage timing, coordinate multiple moving parts, and adapt to the unexpected
  • Commitment to health, safety, and upholding brand values at all times
  • Drive to deliver memorable experiences, motivate your team, and continually raise the bar
