Site Director (Distribution Operations)

We are seeking a Director of Distribution Operations to lead our European Distribution Centre in Liège — a site managing over 100m lenses across 120k SKUs, shipping 600k orders per month across Europe, with a team of 350+ employees and an annual budget exceeding £55m.

In this role, you will:

• Assume full leadership and budgetary accountability for the performance of the Liege site
• Drive operational excellence across customer service, cost, quality, and compliance
• Lead and inspire a diverse workforce, mentoring managers and teams to reach their full potential
• Oversee distribution, inventory, purchasing, facilities, and engineering functions
• Implement lean methodologies to optimise equipment, layouts, and material flows
• Represent the Liège Distribution Centre within the EMEA Senior Management Team and global leadership forums
• Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and change management across the site

What we’re looking for:

• A proven track record of operational leadership within a complex, highly regulated distribution environment
• Strong understanding of distribution technologies, ERP/WMS systems, and prior P&L accountability
• Proven track record leading change management programmes and implementing operational excellence
• Ability to inspire teams, build strong stakeholder relationships, and deliver strategic results
• Degree or equivalent professional qualifications
• Ideally prior experience in consumer healthcare or associated industry with equal emphasis on quality and safety.
