For our site in Ghent-Seaport, we are currently looking for a colleague to join our logistics department!

Purpose of the Role: As an Expedition Administrator, you are the point of contact for all questions related to our orders. You are responsible for handling and dispatching products, planning transports, all with the goal of ensuring accurate and timely delivery. In doing so, you work closely with colleagues from the sales department, production, and quality—across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

· Every order is different. You handle orders based on the agreed contract terms;

· You take care of all related administration (in SAP);

· In case of issues related to delivery, means of transport, etc., you look for tailor-made solutions;

· You assist in preparing the planning and book transportation if needed to ensure delivery of the orders;

· You also communicate with external partners, such as:

o Inventory management, to check if we have enough product to deliver to the customer;

o Transport companies regarding loading and delivery follow-up; etc.

· You act as a backup for the check-in point where truck drivers come to collect orders. You handle the necessary communication and follow-up of the planned transport.

Your Profile:

· You hold a Bachelor's degree in an administrative field or an associate/Bachelor’s degree in logistics, or you have initial experience in a similar role;

· You are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of English; any additional language is a plus;

· You enjoy administrative work and approach it in a structured, focused, and accurate manner;

· You have a passion for planning and organizing;

· You have a hands-on, no-nonsense mentality;

· You think proactively and are solution-oriented;

· You like working with facts & figures and prefer a data-driven approach;

· You are motivated by optimization and efficiency;

· Experience with SAP is a plus, but not a must;

· Knowledge of and/or experience with customs procedures is an asset;

· You are eager to work in an international environment;

· You are keen to learn and grow;

· You have a good sense of humor.
