As a member of the Business Marketing Department, you will be responsible for the development of new projects and greenfield projects in Europe, with a primary focus on Belgium.
Main Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification and Acquisition
- Identify new investment and project opportunities;
- Establish and develop relationships with local governments, local partners, and upstream and downstream stakeholders across the industrial value chain to secure project opportunities;
- Conduct preliminary feasibility studies and technical analyses for greenfield projects.
Investment Project Initiation and Validation
- Prepare investment project application documents and coordinate with relevant departments to advance project initiation and approval;
- Address issues raised during internal reviews, complete the preparation of project initiation/validation reports, and facilitate their approval.
Feasibility Study and Decision-Making Preparation
- Coordinate relevant departments to carry out feasibility studies, risk assessments, environmental impact assessments, tendering processes, and negotiations with various stakeholders;
- Be responsible for obtaining government approvals and permits, conducting environmental due diligence, and completing appraisal filings;
- Organize and advance other related work in accordance with local greenfield project development procedures.
Investment Decision
- Prepare investment decision application documents and complete the investment approval process in accordance with established procedures;
- Coordinate with relevant Group departments to clarify and resolve key issues involved in the decision-making process;
- For greenfield development projects, take responsibility for overall project construction planning and management following the investment decision;
- Oversee and manage the project during the construction phase;
- Participate in the operation and maintenance management of the project during the operational phase.
Profile
- Fluent in English and French;
- Master’s degree;
- Excellent verbal communication skills;
- Strong team spirit, proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with local and institutional partners;
- Familiarity with Belgian local laws and tax policies;
- Relevant experience in the renewable energy sector;
- Ideally based in the Mons area;
