Competition Associate

An elite US law firm is expanding its Brussels competition team and is seeking a Competition Associate with 0–4 years’ PQE. This is a rare opportunity to join a team that is growing organically, driven by sustained demand in Merger Control and investigations under Articles 101 and 102.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise global clients on complex multijurisdictional merger control proceedings
• Support on Article 101 and 102 investigations, cartel cases, and strategic compliance matters
• Contribute to competition litigation and cross-border advisory work
• Work directly with high-profile partners and develop long-term client relationships

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified (or soon to be qualified) in the UK or an EU jurisdiction, with 0–4 years’ experience in competition law
• Solid grounding in EU merger control and behavioural antitrust matters
• Strong academic credentials, ideally with an LLM in competition or EU law
• Fluent in English (other EU languages an asset)
• Experience at a leading international law firm, regulator, or competition authority is highly desirable
