VBA Excel Expert

We're hiring for a
VBA Excel Expert
who thrives on analysis, documentation, and modernization.

You'll review, analyze, and document a wide range of Excel-based tools used by operational teams — paving the way for their evolution into more robust, future-proof technologies.

You will:

• Reverse-engineer existing VBA macros
• Create detailed technical documentation
• Collaborate with teams to validate and refine functionality
• Contribute to the modernization roadmap of Access Management tools

Key Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Excel-based tools and macros to understand workflows, logic, and structure.
• Reverse-engineer VBA code to map functionalities, dependencies, and data flows.
• Produce clear, comprehensive
  technical documentation
  for each tool, covering:
• Functional and technical descriptions
• Code explanations
• User interface and experience design
• Collaborate with operational teams to validate findings.
• Identify
  technical debt, performance, and security issues
  , recommending improvements.
• Ensure documentation remains accurate and ready for migration to modern languages.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Share expertise and improvement ideas within the squad.
• Align with squad priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

Technical Skills Required

• VBA Excel Expert
  – mastery of Excel VBA Editor and macro logic
• Reverse-engineering skills
  – analyze and document existing solutions
• Technical documentation
  – strong redaction and structuring abilities
• SQL Server (Medium to Expert)
  – data integration and analysis

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of
  IAM (Identity & Access Management)
  and
  RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)
  methodologies
• Familiarity with
  Agile
  ways of working
• French or Dutch
  knowledge preferred
• English proficiency
  required
