To help us achieve this, we are actively seeking a Project Assistant BESS Intern to join our operations team. You will play a critical role in the development of complex energy projects that will take our customers’ energy transition to the next level.

🟢Job details.

As Project Assistant Intern at Bnewable, you will:

• Assist in the project cycle from start to finish with a strong focus on operation and implementation and ensuring the highest quality and reliability standards.
• Assist the Project Manager in several projects in parallel that are in different development stages.
• Support the design for the integration of battery energy storage systems for a seamless installation of the Bnewable proposition within the customer site.
• Challenge and work both during the design and building phase (may include site visits) with electrical / EPC contractors on the required electrical equipment including battery modules, inverters, transformers, mid / low voltage panels and protection systems.
• Act as the support contact for project-related technical studies, collaborating with DSO and TSO on orientation and detailed studies.
• Gather and bundle the required data for permitting purposes. Assist in submitting and following up on the permit application to the municipality.
• Be responsible for financial monitoring of sites and carrying out price analyses.
• Working on BESS fire prevention, suppression systems and insurance topics

🟢Your profile.

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program, preferably in energy, business, civil engineering, or a related field
• Ambitious to work in a young energy company with lots of opportunities to learn and grow
• Project management skills and the ability to assist in multiple projects simultaneously
• Being first point of contact of external stakeholders regarding the battery project does not scare you.
• You like to go on site when necessary, during design and development of the battery project.
• Native fluency in French and/or Dutch and work proficiency in English, both oral and written.
• Have a good dose of common sense and a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
• Creativity and ability to think outside the box
• Available for 6 months from the 1st of September 2025, or a later date.
