Deputy Fleet Manager

Purpose of Job: Asset management for Beacon assets throughout the life cycle

Job Description:

• Manage, at a working level, workshops and suppliers for maintenance delivery and provide co-ordination for technical and supply problems
• Delivery of asset inspection process and undertake detailed asset inspections particularly during heavy maintenance
• Co-ordination and long-term planning of heavy maintenance and modifications
• On-site management of small-scale engineering projects
• Oversee full-service and heavy maintenance contract delivery liaising with the Fleet Planner and supplier
• Reporting, investigation and management of incidents affecting fleet safety and reliability
• Identify, support development and implement plans to improve the reliability and maintainability of the fleet to maintain competitive advantage
• Support the Technical Team with information on the fleet and maintenance delivery
• Support the Fleet Manager as required in the asset management of the fleet
• Provide cover for the Fleet Manager and Fleet Planner for leave and sickness
• Delivery of ECM responsibilities and ability to manage functions II, III and IV
