Senior Security Engineer

Senior System Security Engineer - €400/500 Day rate, 6 months plus

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with a strong background in cybersecurity and security accreditation processes. You will play a critical role in supporting the security, integrity, and compliance of operational communication and information systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on leading-edge technology projects within a security-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the security architecture, implementation, and operations of communication and information systems.
• Assist in technical development activities to maintain the integrity and secure operation of operational networks.
• Conduct and support vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis initiatives.
• Enforce client security policies, directives, and procedures.
• Contribute to system security accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational security standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in:
• System security
• Security architecture
• Network security engineering
• Security governance, including policy alignment, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Proven hands-on experience with communication and information system security.

Desirable Skills:

• Strong understanding of containerized microservices and platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with public cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with DevSecOps tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud networking architecture, cloud security operations, automation, and orchestration.
• Proficiency with leading security tools:
• Tenable Nessus, NMAP, Tanium Endpoint Management, Microsoft Defender, Trellix ePO, and similar platforms.
• This role requires SC clearance or Nato Cosmic Top Secret
