Information Technology Manager

BMB Bouwmaterialen Belgium (BMB) is on an ambitious journey to become the leading B2B distributor of building materials in Belgium. With 14 branches across Flanders, 300 employees, and a solid revenue base of €150 million, we are set to grow to €500 million in the coming three years – both organically and through acquisitions. It is a part of BME Group, a leading European distributor with 12 Opco's across 8 countries and 6 billion revenue, a Blackstone portfolio company.

To support this transformation, we’re looking for a Manager Digital & IT to drive innovation, integration, and operational excellence across the digital and IT landscape of BMB. The internal title is IT Manager but this is the end responsible role for the IT of the whole company, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and functionally to the Group Chief Digital Information Officer (BME Group), you’ll lead the local IT and Digital function and execute the Group-wide digital strategy at BMB. You’ll run local IT operations, ensure robust data and security governance, modernize infrastructure, and spearhead the implementation of group applications like ERP, TMS, and data platforms. There is no team, so you will work with external teams and need to be pretty hand-on.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize local IT operations with high standards in security, continuity, and cost-efficiency.
• Translate and implement the BME Group IT & Digital roadmap at BMB.
• Modernize and harmonize infrastructure and applications (e.g. ERP, data platforms).
• At the later stage, when company needs increase, build a Digital & IT team, promoting continuous learning and value creation.
• Act both hands-on and as a strategic business partner, leading complex cross-functional digital transformation initiatives.
• Own and drive local data governance, master data quality (supplier, product, customer), and analytics (PowerBI).
• Manage ERP development (Dynamics365 BC), post-merger integrations, and process improvements.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in senior IT/Digital leadership roles in multinational environments..
• Proven track record in delivering transformation projects
• Strong understanding of data management, cloud platforms (esp. Azure), IT security, and ERP systems.
• Experienced in stakeholder engagement across business, IT, and group-level functions.
• Entrepreneurial, structured, pragmatic, and results-driven.
• Fluent in Flemish and English (German is a plus).
