Process Engineer

Your Role

As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact solutions, particularly within the Food & Beverage industry. You’ll be responsible for process design, multidisciplinary coordination, and on-site commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and performance across all project phases.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review project deliverables to define process requirements
  • Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment layouts
  • Confirm design requirements with clients and stakeholders
  • Create 2D/3D designs for piping systems and process equipment using hygienic design principles
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Perform process simulations and troubleshoot issues
  • Create specifications for piping, insulation, instruments, and equipment
  • Produce tender/RFQ documents and validate Material Take Offs (MTOs)
  • Liaise with suppliers on specifications, design, and delivery
  • Prepare and complete project plans
  • Propose design improvements and perform quality assurance
  • Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders
  • Conduct risk assessments including FMEA, HAZOP, and LOPA
  • Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Oversee on-site commissioning including mechanical completion, punch listing, cold/hot commissioning, PAT, and final handover


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Process Engineering (Food & Beverage industry preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Proficiency in generating PFDs, P&IDs, and performing process calculations
  • Strong modeling skills for plant layout and mechanical design
  • Experience in multidisciplinary coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical, automation, production)
  • Team-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced time management capabilities
  • Skilled in 2D and 3D CAD systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
  • Willingness to travel, relocate, and participate in business trips
