IT Project Leader – Mainframe

We are looking for a Project Leader who can bridge business needs and IT solutions, and drive strategic projects within our banking environment. You will play a key role in ensuring alignment, quality, and successful delivery, while collaborating closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-level business and customer needs into feasible functional solutions, working closely with Enterprise Architecture and IT teams.
• Ensure compliance with technology standards, nonfunctional requirements, architecture guidelines, security rules, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
• Build transversal knowledge of banking operations, products, and services.
• Professionally lead projects, ensuring high quality, stable scope, on-time delivery, and budget control.
• Coordinate and follow up on functional analysis, technical design, build activities, IT testing, business testing, and user acceptance.
• Support the team in overcoming obstacles that impact smooth project lifecycle.
• Organize and oversee proper release deployment.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, other teams, and management to ensure overall alignment.
• Follow up on production systems and support the team during incidents.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Mainframe (Cobol, JCL, DB2, MQ) is a clear advantage.
• Cloud experience is not required but is a plus, especially in hybrid architectures (mainframe + Azure Cloud).
• Solid understanding of IT environments and project delivery cycles.

Functional Knowledge

• General banking knowledge.
• Experience in the payments domain or customer referential domain is a strong asset.
