Position: Head of Global Finance ( based in Zaventem or Eindhoven)

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Head of Global Finance to lead our finance and accounting operations across BDO Global Office’s Belgian entity and its subsidiaries in the Netherlands and the UK. This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence in a digital-first, highly flexible environment.

Key accountabilities

1.Financial Oversight & Reporting

• Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Validate financial statements in accordance with Belgian GAAP and IFRS.
• Oversee budget planning, allocation, and monitoring across departments.
• Ensure accurate financial statistics, reporting, and referrals.
• Enhance financial resilience through proactive liquidity and cash flow management
• Engage with ESG reporting providing financial insights and support

2. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure full compliance with Belgian and international tax regulations.
• Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities.
• Oversee transfer pricing and compliance for foreign entities.

3. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement in financial procedures and internal controls.
• Lead the optimization of Dynamics 365, including automation of financial reporting.
• Maintain and update the finance manual and internal procedures.

4. Strategic Leadership & Advisory

• Provide financial insights and strategic input to the Global Leadership Team.
• Coordinate financial aspects of strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Act as a key advisor on financial obligations, risks, and opportunities.

5. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead and develop the Accounting and Finance teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary liaison with auditors, legal counsel, and financial advisors.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• CPA, CFA, or ACCA certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, and multinational tax regulations.
• Proven advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Dynamics 365.
• Demonstrated success in leading finance teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.
