Automotive Quality engineer

As a Quality engineer, you will manage all laboratory processes, as well as the QMS and suppliers. You will guarantee compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and all applicable standards.
Responsibilities
You will manage the laboratory team (technicians and operators), ensuring proper training, workload distribution, and performance management. You will oversee all laboratory daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely testing & release, and optimizing lab workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
You will implement high-priority quality actions, follow deviations, support audits preparation, and conduct MSA studies.
You will analyze defects using SPC and Pareto methods and ensure proper documentation and traceability of test results.
You will manage calibrations, and laboratory projects such as automation initiatives and contingency plans, while driving continuous improvement across the lab.
You will use SAP for managing material flow, test requests, and quality data tracking.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes, manage 8Ds for lab-related issues, and deliver KPI-driven improvements to maintain top quality standards.
Qualifications
Engineering degree in the Industrial or Chemical Field and relevant automotive experience.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA, and automotive core tools.
Excellent communication and reporting skills in Dutch and English
Highly structured, stress-resistant, and able to multitask without losing sight of priorities.
Experience working in fast-paced, challenging environments
Flexible, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Analytical and quantitative approach to problem-solving
Proficiency in Excel and SAP.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
