On behalf of our client Enerdeal , a fast-growing and innovative company specialised in developing, financing, and managing large-scale photovoltaic projects, we are looking for an AutoCAD PV Designer – Solar PV for the industrial and small utility sector , to support the project management cycle from A to Z by designing and engineering for large and complex industrial photovoltaic projects in Belgium. Location: Zaventem, Flemish Region JOB DESCRIPTION Enerdeal specializes in developing, financing, building, and operating large-scale smart PV and battery storage systems for commercial and industrial clients. To better address the growing market opportunities for large power plants (500 kWp+), Enerdeal is looking for an AutoCAD PV Designer – Solar PV to support the engineering team in the conception, design, and technical drafting of industrial-scale photovoltaic installations. As an AutoCAD PV Designer – Solar PV , you will focus on accurate and compliant layouts, material selection, and integration of structural, mechanical, and electrical components to ensure high-quality and cost-efficient PV system designs. Your key responsibilities : Produce accurate 2D and 3D layouts for industrial PV installations using AutoCAD Create roof plans, mounting structure layouts, single-line diagrams, equipment placement drawings, and cable routing plans Apply sector-specific AutoCAD plug-ins for PV design (e.G., Virto Solar or alike) when available Interpret engineering specifications, structural constraints, and electrical requirements to prepare optimized design files for cost and performance Select appropriate PV components, including PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, cabling, trays, conduits, and fixation materials in collaboration with the Project management team Understand technical datasheets and ensure compatibility of materials within the system design Collaborate with project engineers, Project Managers, and sales teams to translate concepts into detailed engineering drawings Assist with bill of materials (BOM) preparation based on design output Perform feasibility checks regarding shading, cable lengths, load assumptions, and mechanical constraints Support site teams with technical drawings and revision management Maintain drawing libraries, templates, and version tracking Ensure designs comply with relevant industrial standards and safety requirements Proactively manage and optimize engineering design templates Evaluate and benchmark new design tools and software to increase department efficiency Research, test, and integrate AI-driven design enhancements and workflow automation Share process improvement ideas and contribute to the digitalization strategy of the engineering team YOUR PROFILE Relevant degree Proven technical knowledge and experience in electrical design; experience in the solarPV sector will be a plus Fluency in 2D modelling via AutoCAD or similar tools (e.G. Virto Solar ) Good understanding of electrical design is welcome; knowledge of PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, and cable routing equipment, and installation constraints will be a plus Interest in installation techniques; basic knowledge of electrical principles (DC/AC, grounding, protection devices) is a plus Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of technical drawings Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent organisation skills; the ability to adapt your work pace to project timelines and efficiently deliver design packages on time Good communication and team collaboration skills; effective collaborationwith engineering and construction teams Willingness to learn and upskill continuously; openness to learn and improve in order to grow beyond the current role Hard worker, motivated, result-oriented Autonomous and flexible, but also a collaborative team player Comfortable working in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment Native proficiency in Dutch or French ; knowledge of the other will be an asset; good knowledge of English is a plus OUR OFFER A full-time employment contract An attractive financial package with a wide range of benefits and incentives directly linked to the profitability of the company and in line with your experience and job content An opportunity to work in a rapidly developing and innovative company in the green sector with ambitious growth and expansion plans Continuous learning and development opportunities
