For one of our leading clients in the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to strengthen the IT Architecture team. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of business and IT, translating corporate strategy into actionable architecture roadmaps and portfolio strategies.
As an Enterprise Architect, you will work on a high-impact mission within a complex, large-scale environment operating critical infrastructure across Europe
What you'll do
You will act as a strategic advisor within the Enterprise Architecture function, driving application portfolio management and shaping the long-term IT roadmap
Analyze corporate strategy and translate it into portfolio management strategies, business-driven IT roadmaps, and business capability MAPS
Evaluate and optimize the application portfolio in close collaboration with application owners and stakeholders
Define architecture and functional design needs to support business goals and advocate reference architectures
Conduct trade-off analyses (e.g. Atam, Cbam) and validate recommendations with senior business and IT management
,Maintain architecture artifacts including application MAPS (applications, data, integration, technology layers) and architecture decision repositories
Contribute to building an enterprise-wide IT roadmap reflecting initiatives, dependencies, and transformation impacts
Integrate architecture processes with IT management domains such as Project Portfolio Management and IT Service Management
Profile / requirements
Who you are
You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels. You combine architectural depth with business acumen and a pragmatic, result-oriented mindset.
Additionally, you bring:
10 years of experience in an Enterprise Architecture role
Strong knowledge of IT processes and standards such as ITIL, Togaf, ArchiMate, and Domain-Driven Design
Experience with Application Portfolio Management (APM) and frameworks such as Gartner Time
Expertise in cloud-native architecture patterns, MicroServices, and event-driven architectures
Experience with modeling tools such as SparX Enterprise Architect (or similar)
Proven ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and collaborate effectively in diverse teams
Experience in transformation contexts (e.g. mergers) is a strong plus
Fluent English (mandatory), with Dutch and/or French required; German is a plus
Strong communication skills in both Dutch/French and English.
