Solution Designer

For our client in the financial services sector, we are looking for a Solution Designer (Proficient level) to support a strategic initiative within the KYC domain, focused on improving Straight Through Processing (STP).

At Yuma, we believe technology only matters when it makes a real difference for people. In this role, you will contribute to optimizing data gathering flows during customer onboarding and outreach processes.

You will operate in a highly technical environment driven by API development and MicroServices, working closely with Solution Architects and development teams. This is not a purely business-oriented role: you will translate business requirements into structured, detailed solution designs aligned with architectural standards.

What you'll do

You will play a key role in translating business and non-functional requirements into detailed functional and technical solution designs

Assess the impact of new requirements on existing IT domains and systems

Design features in close collaboration with key stakeholders

Break down epics into implementable features and define logical slicing strategies

Produce structured technical documentation including sequence diagrams, component diagrams, and system/data flow models

Define interdependencies between components and contribute to a coherent functional roadmap

Present design alternatives and support decision-making through structured analysis

Ensure alignment with architecture governance frameworks and standards

Work closely with Solution Architects in an API-driven and MicroServices-based ecosystem

Support development teams by clarifying requirements and ensuring consistency during implementation

Profil

Who you are

You are an architecture-minded Solution Designer with strong analytical capabilities and a hands-on, delivery-oriented mindset. You are comfortable operating in complex IT environments and bridging business expectations with robust technical designs.

Additionally, you bring:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in a technical IT analysis or Solution Design role

Experience in large and complex IT environments

Strong experience in banking or financial services

Experience within the KYC domain or large enterprise environments is a strong plus

Strong understanding of API-based architectures (REST), MicroServices environments, and backend/system integrations

Ability to define and document EndPoint interactions and message flows

Experience translating business needs into structured technical solution designs

Experience working within architecture governance frameworks

Proven experience delivering structured technical documentation

Experience with UML (sequence diagrams, component diagrams)

Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and modeling tools such as Visio, draw.io, Enterprise Architect or similar

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams

A pragmatic, structured, and solution-focused mindset

The confidence to challenge design decisions constructively when needed
