We are looking for a Nuclear Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance operations within a high-security nuclear power facility. In this key role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing welding, piping, and mechanical repair work. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement process and support technical analyses, ensuring compliance with strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate welding , piping , and equipment repair tasks.
- Monitor field operations, including work performed in confined spaces and controlled areas .
- Support maintenance teams in event analysis and the identification of improvement opportunities.
- Conduct technical document reviews and research within archives to support decision-making.
- Analyze findings from inspections and define appropriate corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulations , standards , and safety procedures .
- Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate records using tools such as SAP , Excel , and other Office applications.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Welding Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , or Electromechanical Engineering , or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical environment with strong quality assurance requirements .
- Solid understanding of relevant standards; ASME codes and pressure/steam regulations are strong assets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and SAP .
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a proactive and analytical mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Working proficiency in French is required; knowledge of Dutch and/or English is a plus.
- Eligible for access to P2 + P3 + ZC zones within the nuclear facility.
- Familiarity with nuclear site operations and regulatory environments.
- Experience working in confined or controlled zones under strict safety constraints.
