About the Role
Join our purchasing team at Amaris to support a key client in the railway industry undergoing a major digital transformation. As a Category Buyer, you will play an important role in strengthening indirect procurement activities, particularly in ICT sourcing and contract management, helping to drive innovation and efficiency in this essential sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing tender documents, analyzing bids, and drafting contracts aligned with cost-saving and quality objectives.
- Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations.
- Monitor and guarantee punctual delivery of goods and services for internal clients.
- Maintain frequent communication with internal departments, executives, and suppliers.
- Contribute to reporting and continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement team
Candidate Profile
Technical Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within public or regulated sectors.
- Experience with ICT/software procurement is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in one of Belgium’s national languages (French or Dutch), plus good knowledge of the other (Mandatory); English is a plus.
- Strong command of MS Office; knowledge of SAP Ariba or similar procurement tools is advantageous.
