We are seeking a Marketing Executive to temporarily join our Brussels team during a maternity leave cover period (January – October 2026), with an initial handover and training period in January and a closing transition in October.
The selected candidate will join the Brussels office to serve as a key member of the team and to support the Director of the office, by undertaking a broad range of both marketing and operational tasks. The candidate will oversee project workflow from concept development to completion and will ensure that outputs align with the company's strategy and objectives.
The candidate will play a key role in planning and executing marketing and communication activities to promote Catalonia in the Benelux markets, with a particular focus on digital marketing and social media management.
Responsibilities
- To plan, implement and monitor digital marketing campaigns as well as the social media strategy.
- To manage the day-to-day execution of promotional activities carried by the tourist board (on-line marketing campaigns, social media, workshops, presentations, educational trips, press trips, trade fairs and others).
- To write, copyedit and distribute content on a regular basis for newsletters, press releases, presentations, etc.
- To oversee the blog of the Benelux market by supervising its well-functioning, updating the content and adapting it when necessary.
- To monitor trends and data analysis for the production of outbound market reports and presentations
- To develop commercial relations and partnerships with tourism related organizations and media stakeholders.
- To provide advice and support to the Benelux tourism industry as well as to Catalan companies interested in the Benelux markets.
- To undertake general administrative and logistical tasks.
- To supervise interns and mentor them.
Requirements:
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
- Proficiency in English and Catalan/Spanish, spoken and written. Knowledge in Dutch and/or French will be an asset.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in carrying out marketing activities, including planning and implementing projects within approved budget. Proven expertise in digital platforms and social media management is a must.
- Knowledge of the tourism industry and/or the Benelux markets.
- Excellent writing and copyediting.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office, databases and design software (Canva, Photoshop).
- Strong planning, organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
