Java Technical Analyst

afarax is looking for a freelance Java Technical Analyst. We need you!

The project:

Our client in the banking sector is looking for a Java Technical Analyst to join their team.

Key tasks:

During refinement phase:

• Accompany the business analyst and client through the reflection towards a solution and propose alternative and adequate solutions in line with enterprise architecture and strategy, and while considering cost/ benefits;
• Ensure that the client understands and adopts enterprise rules and standards concerning architectural standards, security;
• Work together with the architects to define the architecture;
• Close collaboration with product owner and business analyst to conceptualize and answer business requirements with modern and compliant solutions;
• Relay between the client, business analyst and involved squads.

During elaboration phase:

• Conceptualize and elaborate the chosen solution by translating business requirements into a detailed analysis;
• Align with involved squads on solution concepts;
• Apply design of the solution, identifying and detailing the impacts on the different product components in order to specify each of their requirements according to the business requirements;

During the construction phase:

• Follow-up of the development and testing to ensure coherence between the functional specifications and the developed solution;
• Provide the implementation definitions of product components that are supported by different squads;
• Support the implementation squads
• Review and validate the expected product functionalities implemented by the squads

Is this you?

• Good in Dutch and/or French
• Fluent in English
• Bachelor or Master’s degree, preferably in IT
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• You have a large experience as functional/technical analyst in an agile XP-environment
• You have strong analytical skills (functional and technical)
• Professional experience as a developer, able to coach junior developers
• You are curious and understand/follow the latest developments in the technical area.
• You understand the principles of Continuous Delivery and use these in your DevOps team.
• Knowledge of relational database (Oracle, …) is an asset
• Knowledge of the concerned banking and technical domain
• Knowledge of analysis methodology (according to enterprise standards)
• You are able to discuss with your stakeholders and product owner about features and stories and translate these into software with real business value
• You understand and apply capacity- and performance management
• You teach, coach and train our colleagues, you share knowledge and experience
• Practical experience with Scrum
