THE OPPORTUNITY

This position sits within Abbott's Neuromodulation (NMD) Division, which offers advanced medical devices that address chronic pain and movement disorders. NMD is part of Abbott's Medical Devices business, a global leader delivering innovative technologies that help people live their healthiest lives.

As the DBS Product & Therapy Specialist – International Marketing, you will play a key role in driving the success of Abbott's Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) portfolio and digital health solutions across OUS markets. This role blends product expertise, therapy development, education, and strategic marketing support, ensuring internal teams and customers are empowered with the latest innovations and insights.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Develop and maintain strong expertise in Abbott's DBS and digital health technologies, clinical applications, and evolving customer needs.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing in‑depth technical knowledge to internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of targeted marketing initiatives that highlight the value of the DBS and digital health portfolio.

  • Translate clinical and scientific insights into strategic and commercial messaging.

  • Collaborate with the DBS Product Manager for EMEA, APAC and LATAM to support product launch initiatives.

  • Design, develop, and deliver continuing education programs for NMD representatives, aligned with the value proposition and emerging market needs.

  • Ensure representatives are accredited and continuously trained on evolving therapies and technologies.

  • Maintain ongoing engagement with the field organization to understand emerging needs, competitive dynamics, and clinical environments.

  • Engage with key opinion leaders and support congresses, symposiums, and other strategic events to elevate Abbott's presence.

  • Support cross‑functional initiatives across sales, education, marketing, market access, and clinical teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Medical Devices industry, preferably within Neuromodulation.

  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training or educational programs.

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Ability to translate scientific concepts into commercial strategies.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to confidently engage with healthcare professionals.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%).

  • Fluency in English.

SKILLS / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Additional languages are a plus.

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen.

  • Experience collaborating in cross‑functional environments.

  • Strong organization and project‑management capabilities.
