Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users regarding computer systems, hardware, and software. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and maintaining a high level of user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop PCs, printers, phones, and related hardware.
  • Support Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, and other enterprise applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Track and manage support tickets using the company’s helpdesk system.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new computers and peripherals.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Provide remote support to offsite users as needed.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on various technical projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in desktop support or a similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and remote desktop tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
