The Challenge
Agrifirm is looking for a
Specie Lead – Ruminants
for our Specialties Cluster, based inDrongen, Belgium. This is a key strategic role with a global scope, where your insights will directly influence the future of our specialty business for ruminants.

As Specie Lead, you'll be the architect of the global strategy for the ruminants segment. You'll drive alignment across regions, lead the innovation pipeline, and ensure our portfolio meets both market demands and our ambition to lead in sustainability and animal performance.

Your Responsibilities
Strategic Vision & Direction

• Develop and drive the global long-term strategy for ruminants within Agrifirm.
• Align global plans with regional needs and ensure execution with impact.
• Translate external trends and market intelligence into future-proof strategies.

Innovation & Growth Leadership

• Identify and prioritize sustainable growth opportunities and innovations.
• Steer development of new products, services, and digital solutions tailored to ruminants.
• Align R&D, portfolio management, and business units to deliver breakthrough value.

Portfolio Excellence

• Define and manage a focused, profitable, and sustainable portfolio of products, additives and services.
• Ensure lifecycle management of products, from concept to launch.
• Create value for customers through well-positioned solutions and strong earning models.

Stakeholder Alignment & Influencing

• Build strong internal networks with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Procurement.
• Support our business with well selected key accounts.
• Ensure alignment and commitment across global business units for innovation execution.
• Represent Agrifirm externally as a thought leader in ruminant farming and nutrition.

Knowledge Leadership

• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the cluster.
• Set up and lead global knowledge frameworks, training, and Centres of Expertise.
• Stay connected to the latest academic and industry insights—and translate them into action.

In this role, you will report to the Strategic Portfolio Director.

What's on your resume?

• Master's degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness or related field;
• 10+ years of experience in the ruminant segment, in a technical, commercial, marketing, or innovation role;
• Extensive knowledge on global market developments and market needs for Ruminants, combined with broad knowledge of product portfolio and customer processes to create new opportunities and possibilities;
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
