Contract & Supplier Manager – Linear assets

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The scope of our mission is to reinforce a team as a right-hand Project Lead to support the management and optimization of supplier contracts for core electrical infrastructure equipment, ensuring performance, compliance, and value creation in complex project environments.

The Key responsibilities expected from our on-site delegate might include:

Support projects by facilitating communication between stakeholders and progress towards objectives:

  • Be responsible for managing the suppliers and contracts for the core electrical equipment.
  • Manage actively the client-supplier relationship for strategic electrical equipment suppliers.
  • Follow proactively internal stakeholders (mainly the project department) of their category.
  • Represent the company at the supplier and represent the supplier within the organization.

  • Take charge of the management of the suppliers' relationships for its categories of equipment (through regular status meetings, supplier- and/or factory-visits).

  • Support internal stakeholders on suppliers-related topics.

  • Act as Key Account Manager towards the suppliers of the category and for internal stakeholders (Program Managers, Project Leaders, Experts, …).
  • Lead negotiations and reach reasonable agreements in case of unforeseen situations or claims.
  • Create opportunities and win-win situations.

Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality, and timelines:

  • Manage contract risks (risk assessment and implementation of mitigation measures if required).
  • Oversee contract performance and manage contract claims.
  • Guarantee continuous improvement through return of experience.
  • Prepare reporting.

Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution, ensuring accuracy and meeting expectations:

  • Administer contracts and manage contract changes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving.
  • Ensure the proper execution of the projects conform the contract.

The experience we are actively looking for:

  • Master's degree in a technical-commercial field, with strong interest in industrial projects and technology.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, contract management, category management, account management, or procurement.
  • Fluency in English with excellent command of either French or Dutch and good knowledge of the other.
  • Assertive and structured communicator, proactive and solution-driven.
  • Experience in the energy or industrial sector is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in data and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of SAP is appreciated.
  • Entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic is a great start).
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
  • Presence in Belgium is preferred, with valid Single Permit for non-EU citizens.
