We are looking for a special person to join our team and work in the very heart of our lovely school. The successful candidate is the first contact that people will have with ACE and so they must be able to immediately demonstrate the care and compassion that is such a strong feature of our school. The successful candidate must have a warm and welcoming personality, a caring and sympathetic nature when dealing with children, parents and staff, have an eye for detail, bucket loads of patience, gentle but firm diplomatic skills and a well developed sense of fun.
Core Responsibilities
- Communication: Acting as the central communication hub by answering phones, responding to emails and relaying messages to and from parents, students, staff, and visitors.
- Information Management: Providing information about the school, managing enquiries and admissions and maintaining organised records, such as visitor logs, student files, and attendance records.
- Visitor Services: Welcoming and assisting visitors, ensuring they feel comfortable and have the information they need and helping with school events.
- Administrative Support: Performing general clerical tasks such as data entry, copying, filing, and managing correspondence.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinating meetings, managing school calendars and helping to schedule appointments or parent-teacher conferences.

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with a diverse range of people.
- Organisation: The ability to keep records, manage schedules and maintain an organised office space is essential.
- Multitasking: Handling multiple tasks and enquiries simultaneously is a key aspect of the role.
- Interpersonal Skills: A welcoming, professional and helpful demeanor is necessary to represent the school positively.
- IT Proficiency: Familiarity with standard office software, email and other digital tools is required.
