System Administrator

About the Role
As a System Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing core IT operations including servers, storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud-based systems. You’ll be the go-to expert for escalated support issues, contribute to infrastructure projects, and help ensure the reliability and performance of essential systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support IT infrastructure: operating systems, O365, servers, storage, virtualization, and networks.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; document and resolve incidents efficiently.
- Monitor system performance and coordinate updates and patching (Windows, Linux, third-party components).
- Support disaster recovery and backup operations.
- Provide technical documentation and assist in infrastructure planning and upgrades.
- Act as an escalation point for L1/L2 support and contribute to team training and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in infrastructure projects and emergency on-site support when required.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi).
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server technologies: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS.
- Experience with physical infrastructure (servers, storage, SAN switches).
- Good understanding of networking (switches, firewalls, routing).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Admin Centre and PowerShell scripting.
- Optional: Linux/Unix experience and ITIL framework knowledge.
- Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional are a plus.
