At 3D-Side ( we’re a passionate MedTech team based in the heart of Walloon Brabant. Our mission? To support surgeons by seamlessly integrating 3D technologies into their daily practice.

Through our advanced software and hands-on expertise, we help plan complex surgical procedures and design patient-specific implants and instruments. Personalized surgery isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are.

Beyond this, we develop in-house software solutions to manage the production of custom medical devices, always prioritizing simplicity, efficiency, and — above all — the patient.

Your Role: Medical Device Designer

As a Medical Device Designer, you’ll take full ownership of the patient-specific device workflow — from receiving medical images to delivering the final custom product to the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

Surgical Planning and Virtual Design (70%)

• Convert medical images into 3D anatomical models
• Design patient-specific implants and surgical instruments in 3D
• Ensure all deliverables meet surgery deadlines
• Guarantee the quality and regulatory compliance of each device
• Maintain effective collaboration with the manufacturing department

3D Printing & Logistics (30%)

• Operate 3D printing equipment for medical device production
• Post-process and inspect medical devices for accuracy and quality
• Manage packaging, documentation, and secure shipment of patient-specific devices
• Administer each case's documentation (invoices, purchase orders, etc.)

Your Profile

Education & Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

• Engineering / Biomedical Engineering
• Industrial or Product Design
• Graphic Design
• 3D Modeling / Animation
• Medical Imaging
