Your role as a Process Development Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join our R&D team. The role is focussed on research and development (R&D) activities, contributing to the advancement and optimization of DMP (Direct Metal Printing) technologies. Once you have mastered the DMP technology, you will also support the service teams with advanced troubleshooting on field systems.

R&D Activities:

• Design and execute prototype testing plans to evaluate new concepts and process improvements.
• Conduct validation testing to ensure compliance with product requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Support scale-up activities and technology transfer from R&D to production.

Technical Support (after 1.5 year):

• Provide day-to-day technical support to the field support and manufacturing teams.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stability and performance of DMP systems in the field.
• Maintain documentation and process control systems.

You are a hands-on engineer driven by innovation & precision

This role is ideal for someone who has experience with troubleshooting of complex machinery and can also actively participate in prototype and validation testing, and data-driven decision-making. Given the technical nature of the job, a hands-on mentality is essential.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in (Elektro)mechanical Engineering.
• Strong
  analytical skills
  and understanding of root cause analysis methodologies (5 Whys, Ishikawa, ...).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Hands-on mentality
  and able to capture knowledge quickly
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
  .
• Experience with validation protocols and experimental design (DOE).
• Experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment is a plus.
• Experience with DMP technologies or high-tech equipment is a plus.
• Willing to travel abroad (10%).
• Fluent in
  English
  . French is a plus.
