We're working with a fast-growing SaaS fintech company based in Ghent. They build financial technology solutions that empower businesses to manage and move money more efficiently. As they continue to scale, they are looking for a Senior Front-end Engineer to take architectural ownership of their React ecosystem and work closely with the CTO to shape the future of their platform. As Senior Front-end Engineer, you will partner directly with the CTO and play a pivotal role in defining and maintaining the front-end architecture of a complex SaaS product built with React and TypeScript. You'll combine hands-on technical leadership with mentorship and team-building responsibilities. Responsibilities Own and evolve the front-end architecture (React-based) Collaborate closely with the CTO on technical strategy and product direction Lead architectural decisions, ensuring performance and maintainability Write high-quality, production-ready code Run technical interviews and help scale the engineering team Conduct and contribute to thorough code reviews Mentor and coach front-end and Full-Stack developers Promote testing, documentation, and CI/CD Drive improvements in performance, accessibility, and security standards Your profile 5+ years of professional front-end development experience Deep expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript Proven experience defining and maintaining front-end architecture in a SaaS environment Strong understanding of state management, component design patterns, and performance optimization Experience working closely with senior leadership or founders Solid knowledge of testing frameworks and front-end best practices Experience conducting technical interviews Excellent communication skills and mentoring mindset Experience in fintech or highly regulated environments is a plus The offer High-ownership role with direct exposure to the CTO Opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a growing fintech business Up to EUR7K for experienced candidates (dependent on interview process) Hybrid work model in Ghent Collaborative and product-focused environment Real influence on architecture and team growth Full package including mobility options/car +12 ADV days Opportunity to progress into a Tech Lead in the near future
