💰 €2,500 Net per Month + Overtime (Typically €1,500 Net per month)

A growing marine organisation is seeking experienced Mechanical Service Engineers to join its Antwerp-based team, supporting diesel generator and auxiliary engine service operations across European ports.

This is a hands-on mechanical service role, supporting engine overhaul, repair, and commissioning activities on commercial vessels during port calls and repair campaigns.

The Role

You will carry out mechanical service, overhaul, and troubleshooting of marine diesel generators and auxiliary engines, working alongside technical teams supporting vessels during maintenance periods and repair campaigns.

Work will primarily take place in port environments across Europe, with occasional international assignments.

Key Responsibilities

🔱 Perform maintenance, overhaul, and repair of marine diesel generators

🔱 Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults in auxiliary engines and generator systems

🔱 Carry out disassembly, inspection, and rebuild of engine components

🔱 Service fuel systems, injectors, turbochargers, and cooling systems

🔱 Support commissioning, testing, and performance checks of machinery

🔱 Prepare clear technical service reports following repair activities

🔱 Work in accordance with OEM service procedures and technical specifications

Ideal Candidate Profile

🔱 Proven experience servicing marine diesel generators or auxiliary engines

🔱 Experience working with OEM engines such as MAN, Cummins, Wärtsilä, CAT, MTU, or Deutz

🔱 Background from OEM service companies, marine engineering workshops, or ship management technical departments

🔱 Strong hands-on mechanical ability in engine overhaul and troubleshooting

🔱 Comfortable working within engine rooms and port-based service environments

🔱 EU Passport or existing Right to Work in Belgium required (No visa sponsorship available)

🔱 Fluent English required
