Are you ready to take your GL accounting expertise to an international level? Based in Belgium, you will manage financial activities across a broad European perimeter, including the Benelux, UK, Ireland, France, and Southern Europe. Beyond the standard monthly and annual closings, you will play a strategic role in aligning operational and accounting processes. Partner closely with local business units and controlling teams to monitor costs, manage accruals, and oversee provisions. Duration of the project : 3-6 months Location: Puurs-Sint-Amands, Belgium Contract type: Consultancy or Freelance Hybrid work: After an initial onboarding period, the role offers 2 days in the office and 3 days of remote work. Core Responsibilities Balance Sheet Management: Assume full responsibility for Balance Sheet analysis and monthly reconciliations. Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal and group-level financial reports. Budgeting: Actively participate in the annual budgeting process. Audit support: Coordinate and participate in the annual external audit process. Who are you? We are looking for an ambitious professional who thrives in a rapidly changing environment and values teamwork. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting. Experience: Several years of proven experience as a GL Accountant. Technical knowledge: Deep understanding of balance sheet analysis, closing processes (monthly/quarterly/yearly), and IFRS . Systems: Proficiency in SAP is considered a significant advantage. Languages: Excellent command of English (written and spoken) is essential for this international context. Mindset: Strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the "guts" to take initiative in a competitive market. What is offered?
