Senior Software Engineer (Back-End / Laravel / PHP )

We’re looking for a Senior Level Back-End Developer with extensive Laravel experience to join a remote team building a high-end platform. This is a permanent remote role, open to candidates based in the EU (Portugal, Spain, France ideally)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing tech team in a senior role, with plenty of room for development, ownership, and progression.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems for a web and app-based platform. The team values scalable architecture, performance, and clean code, and you'll be working in a collaborative environment focused on high-quality engineering.

• Developing and maintaining backend systems in PHP (Laravel)
• Designing and optimising REST APIs
• Ensuring high performance, scalability, and responsiveness
• Following SOLID principles and applying design patterns
• Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Taking ownership of builds and contributing to technical decisions

What We’re Looking For

• Proven Laravel expertise
• Strong understanding of REST API concepts
• Solid knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with design patterns and SOLID principles
• Passion for building clean, scalable, maintainable code
• Experience building projects from scratch
• Proactive mindset and ability to take ownership

Bonus points for experience integrating with travel booking engines.
