Business Process Consultant – Risk & Compliance


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support the Risk & Credits division, focusing on consumer credit processes, particularly the implementation of the Consumer Credit Directive 2 (CCD2). This directive is aimed at modernizing how lenders extend credit, including products like Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and other micro-lending tools.

The ideal candidate will have a background in process engineering or business process improvement, with a strong understanding of the banking and financial services industry. The Process Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and implement new processes or modify existing ones, including process modelling.
  • Continuously improve business processes and evaluate their performance to ensure efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders (internal and external) to define requirements, test applications, and ensure process compliance with internal and external guidelines (Legal, Compliance, etc.).
  • Liaise with operational teams to ensure practical alignment of processes with real-world conditions.
  • Document processes clearly and concisely for standardization and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Support Agile/Scrum methodologies by participating in sprint planning and contributing to the overall product/service delivery.
  • Contribute to defining and testing application changes related to process improvements.
  • Ensure all process-related documentation complies with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Work independently, manage task estimation, and maintain effective communication with the team and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills:

  • Mandatory:
  • Expertise in process management tools (e.g., Visio, BPM).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Preferred:
  • Knowledge of consumer credit, lending, and risk processes.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in financial services.
  • Business process improvement techniques (e.g., BPM).

Business Experience:

  • Mandatory:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in process management or business process improvement.
  • Experience translating legal/regulatory requirements into processes/products.
  • Background in Risk & Credit within the financial services sector.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in consumer credit/lending processes.
  • Experience in writing business requirements.

Soft Skills:

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Relevant certifications in Agile or process management would be beneficial.

Working Conditions:

  • Telework: Expectation of 40% on-site and 60% remote work.
  • Travel: No travel required for this role.
