Optics Engineer
Your challenges: transforming optical principles to high-tech products
· Coordinated by experienced Project Managers, you work as part of a team and you manage the technical development of multiple industrial projects dedicated to life sciences, aerospace, quality and process control, ….
· In the frame of multidisciplinary projects, you build up systems architectures including interfaces definition . You ensure that the selected components form a system that performs as expected in the targeted environment and is within budget.
· You review the specifications, define the design, drive the optical design, select opto-electronic components, integrate thermal and structural aspects in the solutions and make the link with mechanical, electronic and software engineers.
· You develop tests and verification set-ups based on dedicated custom-built instruments or based on standard laboratory equipment.
· You discuss with suppliers regarding technical specifications and look for practical production means for the selected concepts.

Your background and skills
§ You hold a master or a PhD degree in engineering or equivalent and have already gained hands-on experience in optical R&D projects .
§ You enjoy working in the lab and taking ideas from theory to prototype — assembling, testing, iterating, improving.
§ You combine strong analytical thinking with practical problem-solving skills.
§ You are confident processing and interpreting raw data using MATLAB / Python .
§ You have good reporting and communication skills
§ You are fluent in English; French is a strong asset.
§ You are genuinely curious about science and industry and motivated to deepen your expertise in optics within a real-world environment.
§ You can easily integrate into a multidisciplinary team and organize your work efficiently to deliver according to the project plan.
