Data-Warehouse & Reporting Developer

Our client within the European Institutions is currently looking for a Data-Warehouse & Reporting Developer to work on the contribution to the creation, maintenance, and evolution of enterprise data warehouses and reporting solutions supporting business, policy, and management needs.

Tasks

• Contribution to the creation, maintenance, and evolution of enterprise data warehouses and reporting solutions supporting DG DEFIS business, policy, and management needs.
• Support to business intelligence and analytical solutions, including the design and optimisation of dashboards, reports, and analytical datasets.
• Gathering, analysis, and structuring of business and reporting requirements in close cooperation with business units, data owners, data stewards, and business analysts.
• Design, implementation, and optimisation of ETL/ELT processes to ensure reliable, timely, and reusable data flows.
• Data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical) to support reporting, analytics, interoperability, and data reuse.
• Contribution to data management and data governance activities, including data structuring, documentation, metadata, and support to data quality monitoring.
• Support to testing, deployment, configuration, and controlled evolution of data and reporting solutions.
• Participation in coordination meetings with other project teams, service providers, and corporate services.
• Interaction with business analysts, users, project stakeholders, and developers to ensure alignment between data solutions and business needs.

Requirements

• B2 level of English minimum. Any level of French is considered an asset.
• Data warehouse design, development, and maintenance in a reporting and analytics context.
• SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Business intelligence and reporting tools, including dashboards, reports, and analytical views.
• Good knowledge of data warehouse concepts, including the design, development, and maintenance of reporting-oriented data structures.
• Good knowledge of relational database management systems used in data warehousing and reporting contexts.
• Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Good knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools, including dashboards, reports, and analytical views.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data integration techniques.
• Knowledge of data modelling techniques (conceptual, logical, and physical).
• Understanding of data management and data governance principles, including data documentation, metadata management, and data lifecycle considerations.
• Understanding of data quality principles, including data validation and monitoring.
• Experience in large-scale or corporate data environments is considered an asset.
• Certifications or formal training in data management, data governance, business intelligence are considered an asset and will be taken into account during evaluation.
