The data engineer is part of the Digital & Data team and promotes client's vision as a data-driven organization. You are flexible in thinking along and adjusting to the changing needs of a growing organization.
Our department builds solutions from a SaaS-first vision where platform thinking is central. We integrate the modular elements of a solution with each other and enrich them with data from various stakeholders.
Your responsibilities:
- Testing and integrating different systems and applications.
- Collaborating with other teams and external parties to optimize data exchange.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of data-driven solutions.
- Managing APIs and creating them when necessary.
Your profile:
- You have a passion for data and AI.
- As a hands-on Data Engineer, you build robust data solutions in Azure. You are someone with a pragmatic approach and who:
- Has knowledge of fundamental aspects of databases, data warehouses, and data lakes (including data models).
- Can immediately get started with technical challenges.
- Quickly develops and tests prototypes using low- or no-code solutions.
- Delivers concrete results with Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse.
- Has knowledge of Power BI.
- Has knowledge of APIs and API management.
- You are a true team player who is helpful and works towards team results.
- You are proactive and always think in terms of solutions: when you hear an idea, you are already analyzing what is possible and what is not. You look at cases end-to-end.
- You are communicatively strong and express yourself fluently and flawlessly in Dutch, both orally and in writing.
- You are mentally flexible. You do not stick to old habits and continuously look for ways to make your work and that of others more efficient.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- You see yourself as a pioneer and bridge builder. In addition, you are integer and enjoy collaborating.
Minimum requirements:
- Master’s degree in Data Science for Business.
- Experience in the infrastructure sector in Belgium.
- At least initial experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of APIs and API management.
- Knowledge of/experience with Odoo, PySpark, Fabric, Postman, pgAdmin.
- Very good spoken and written knowledge of the Dutch language.
- Willing to be present at least 3 days per week at the office or construction site in Antwerp.
